Whatever you have. Even a phone photo of a broken spring with a coin for scale is enough to start. The most useful details:

  • Wire diameter (or a measurement of the existing spring)
  • Outer diameter
  • Free length
  • Spring type (compression / extension / torsion / other)
  • Material preference (carbon, stainless, music wire)
  • Quantity needed
  • When you need it
