Drawbar Spring
An extension spring with a guide rod through the center. Self-limiting — cannot over-extend.
A drawbar spring is an extension spring assembled with two end caps and a guide rod that runs through the coil. The rod limits maximum extension, preventing the spring from being stretched past its yield point. Useful where over-extension would damage the spring or the assembly.
Often specified for industrial machinery where operators may apply unpredictable tension forces.

Stainless spring steel and high-carbon spring steel for most spring types. Chrome silicon and chrome vanadium for die-spring grades. Polyurethane elastomer for urethane springs. Finishes available: zinc plating, black oxide, phosphate, passivated stainless.

Wire diameter range: 0.1mm – 10mm. Tolerance: ±0.05mm wire, ±1% free length, ±10% load. Squareness: 3° or less. Custom geometries to drawing — send a sample or a sketch.
